Beloved Denver Mentor and Family Man Robert Morrison Remembered After His Peaceful Passing
DENVER, CO — The Highlands community in Denver is mourning the profound loss of Robert Morrison, a cherished father, mentor, and friend, who passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025. His passing marks the end of a life filled with warmth, wisdom, and unwavering compassion—a legacy now etched in the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Affectionately known as “Pops” by his son, Robert was remembered as not only a parent but also a guiding light and one of the best friends a son could ask for. In a moving tribute shared the following day, his son wrote:
“Last night I said goodbye to my pops, my papa, my mentor, my father, my buddy… one of the best friends I could ever have. This world lost one of the best humans to have ever lived, and I really wish all could have experienced his smile and laugh and love.”
Those who knew Robert personally speak of a man who radiated sincerity, kindness, and quiet strength. Whether offering guidance to his family or showing support to friends and neighbors, he did so with humility and heart. He leaves behind not only a family in mourning but an entire community that feels his absence deeply.
A Celebration of Life service has been scheduled to honor his memory:
Saturday, August 2, 2025
10:30 AM
Highlands United Methodist Church
3131 Osceola Street, Denver, CO 80212
A reception will follow the service. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed live on Facebook and YouTube, allowing friends and loved ones from across the country to join in honoring his legacy.
“I’m devastated to say the least right now,” his son continued, “but I’m honored to be your doppelgänger and your son. I love you, Pops.”
In this time of reflection and grief, the Morrison family invites the wider community to remember Robert not with sorrow, but with gratitude—for a life well-lived, for a spirit that uplifted others, and for the laughter and memories that will remain forever cherished.
May his soul rest in peace, and may those mourning his passing find comfort in the love he gave so freely.
