Prince Albert Police Investigating City’s Third Homicide of 2025: Victim Identified as Wayne Keller

The Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) has confirmed that the death of a man discovered earlier this week is being investigated as a homicideโmarking the cityโs third homicide case of 2025.
Authorities responded to a call around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, reporting a deceased male in the 1500 block of 5th Avenue East. Emergency personnel from both Prince Albert Police and Parkland Ambulance arrived swiftly at the scene, where they located an unresponsive male who was confirmed deceased.
In coordination with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service, members of the Forensic Identification Section (FIS) secured the scene and began processing evidence late into the evening.
An autopsy was completed on July 30, and investigators have now publicly identified the victim as 39-year-old Wayne Keller. His next of kin have been notified. A photo of the deceased was released by police in hopes that it may prompt public leads.

As of Thursday, no arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit (MCU) are working diligently to piece together the timeline leading to Kellerโs death.
