Multi-Agency Investigation Underway Amid Fears of Foul Play
Infant Found Alone in Car Seat
At approximately 3:11 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, a resident on Old Highway 20 near Tigrett called 911 after a vehicle pulled into their yard, dropped off a baby in a car seat, and drove away. First responders quickly located the baby, who was found unharmed, and she was transported to a hospital for medical evaluation. The child is now in protective custody and reported to be in stable condition.
Missing Adults Identified
The abandoned infant’s identity led investigators to search for four missing adults believed to be her close family members:
- Adrianna Williams—the baby’s mother
- Matthew Wilson—the baby’s father
- Courtney Rose—Adrianna’s mother (the baby’s grandmother)
- Braydon Williams—Adrianna’s brother (the baby’s uncle)
According to family members, the last known contact came at 6:43 a.m. Tuesday when Matthew texted his mother to say he had left Big River Steel and was heading home. None of the four were heard from again.
Bodies Found in Lake County
Late Tuesday night, law enforcement officials located four deceased individuals in rural Lake County. While autopsies and formal identification are still pending, the victims are believed to be Adrianna, Matthew, Courtney, and Braydon. Their deaths are now the focus of an active homicide investigation.
