SHREVEPORT, LA — July 30, 2025 — A shooting Tuesday night on W 77th Street has once again shaken the Cedar Grove neighborhood, spotlighting ongoing concerns about escalating gun violence across Shreveport.
According to the Shreveport Police Department, officers responded shortly after 9:30 p.m. to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire near the intersection of W 77th Street and Dowdell Street. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the foot. The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where he is currently reported to be in stable condition.
Swift Police Response and Investigation
Police secured the scene and immediately began an intensive investigation. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit canvassed the area for evidence, reviewed nearby surveillance footage, and interviewed witnesses. As of now, no arrests have been made, and police have not publicly identified a suspect.
